NEW FOR 2018: “ARTIST ROW” FEATURES CREATIONS FROM OVER 20 LOCAL ARTISANS

At “Artist Row,” you’ll find art offerings for your home and garden in this exciting new section of the show, including framed paintings, pencil art, and scenic and botanical photography. Local glass artists will showcase one-of-a kind housewares and items for the garden ranging from glass sculptures, windows and flowers. Stroll “the Row” for offerings by local woodworkers, ceramic artists, print makers, botanical jewelry artists and other craftspeople.

A sampling of local artisans and their offerings in the “Artist Row” include:

Urban Soule “Nature Inspired Botanical Paintings and Garden Art,” from Seattle, will be bringing contemporary art with soulful and colorful depictions of botanicals and wildlife. They’ll also have concrete garden art cast from leaves, fungi and other botanicals for beautiful and stylized garden pieces.

Ferndale’s Bear Arts Studio highlights sandblasted and etched glassware which gives the original designs a three-dimensional character. Each piece of glass is individually sand carved by hand; this process produces a lasting design that is dishwasher-safe. Come and choose a wonderful piece for everyday use or special occasions.

Rainbow Orcas Designs, from Bellingham, creates nature and wildlife-inspired hanging sculptures for one-of-a-kind and affordable art. The pieces are individually hand sculpted and feature versatile and lightweight three-dimensional paper and wire with beaded embellishments. Along with larger tabletop and wall sculptures and paintings, they create truly unique works of art that brings the beauty and wonder of the natural world into the home.

Peterson Scenic Photography, from Graham, features award-winning images of nature’s beauty in the Pacific Northwest. The husband and wife photographers are inspired in their work by their love of nature and by capturing moments in time to be enjoyed by all. From majestic and serene to eerie and visually stunning, their photographic art will create a statement that will make an impact on your walls.

The colorful, kiln-formed glass garden art from Marcus Harper GlassWorks of Browns Point is vibrant with sinuous lines and striking details. The garden art specializes in high-end fused and cast glass art which utilizes finishing techniques of carving, sand blasting, and polishing. The beautiful and bold pieces have that wow factor that will be a lively focal point in your garden or home.

Richard Jahn, from Kent, specializes in painting local landscape scenes from around the Puget Sound area. His artwork at the show will be available in both prints and original paintings. The effervescent, vivid art has an atmospheric and energetic quality that will be a dynamic spotlight in your home.

Tandecki Watercolors, from Sumner, highlights the marine life and rural history of the Pacific Northwest. His moody watercolors focus on the weather and evoke an entrancingly melancholic atmosphere. The reflective artwork will be a timeless complement to your living space.

Little Green, from Tacoma, carries a line of digitally printed greeting cards and original handprinted artwork. The colorful images highlight the personality and movement of nature, from the cheery blooms of a desert cactus to the gentle sway of sea kelp. The designs for the gorgeous paper goods are inspired by nature, family and community, which convey the expressions of life’s joy.

Oregon’s Clay Art Studio has been creating whimsical art with clay for over 30 years. Her one-of-a-kind art pieces are perfect for accessorizing yourself and your home. From whimsical to elegant, each piece is made by hand. The booth will showcase a unique and ever-changing line of jewelry, home decor, wine and table-top accessories and much more.
